Friends of the Earth Cyprus is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation, which was established in 1993 and has been based in Limassol since then. Our goal is to raise awareness on the importance of preserving the natural environment and to campaign for solutions to environmental and social problems by promoting sustainable policies.

Zero Food Waste Cyprus is an umbrella of projects targeting local fruit and vegetable markets to eliminate food waste generation across the island. Currently, the initiative serves a market in the old city centre of South Nicosia (Saturday Aftermarket). By attending local fruit and vegetable markets across Cyprus, we collect food that would have been thrown away and we donate it to anyone in need.

Let’s Make Cyprus Green is a non-profit organisation dedicated to raising public awareness about the negative impact of human activities on the environment. Our primary focus is on highlighting the harmful consequences of excessive waste and plastic usage, improper waste disposal, and other pressing climate-related concerns. All while promoting the adoption of a lifestyle based on Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, in that order of priority.

Ecological Movement Cyprus, founded in 1989, deals with issues of Ecology, Environment and Culture through actions such advocacy, public awareness, campaigns, excursions and organising education events. It is a member of the Cyprus Federation of Environmental Organisations and seeks to raise environmental awareness and promote ecological responsibility and sustainable development.
